Boho Box with the Family

Boho Box For A Night

Hocking Hills, Ohio

BOHO BOX-FALL2020-48.jpg

Last minute the Boho Box down in Hocking Hills had a cancellation and this is a big deal because its booked out for a year and half. I checked our calendars and quickly made the arrangements when I realized it worked out for our schedules. Ryan and myself stayed here back in February and had taken Knox with us, which was pretty easy to accommodate. This time we brought all the kids and wondered if we would regret it. There is one king size bed in the upstairs container and enough of a landing to set up a pack & play for the baby to sleep… the other option for sleeping is a sofa bed on the first floor hidden inside the banquet seating. We weren’t sure how the girls would do but honestly it was perfect. We all started out on the sofa bed winding down watching some TV, after enjoying the hot tub. The next morning everyone was up at their usual early time so I was able to take the twins outside to try and grab some sunrise photos of the boho container and let the girls play in the woods and try out the hammock right off the back porch.

My husband Ryan and myself took a couple days to decompress and enjoy each others company. We stayed down at the Boho Box in Hocking Hills, see post about our stay here. While we were there I had my photographer girl crush come do a couples photo session. Grace of Grace E Jones Photography was so inviting and easy to work with. She kept everything light hearted, full of laughing and cuddling. Im obsessed with all our photos. Photography is an investment and worth every penny.

Boho Box Getaway // Hocking Hills // Ohio

Boho-Box-38.jpg

For Valentines Day, I reached out to my best friend Emily and check if her airbnb rental, the Boho Box, was available for a couple nights. Sure enough it was, so my sister took the toddlers and we headed southeast with the baby for a couple days to rest and unwind. If you haven’t heard of The Box Hop, you’re missing out. These dreamy shipping container rentals are located just 45 minutes away from Columbus. Once there you are a short drive from all the Hocking Hills attractions. This getaway we ventured over to Ash Cave. To get to the cave/waterfalls is a short easy hike from parking. Guys, this place was awesome. The waterfall was full from rain all week and since it was the middle of the week in the winter, there was no one around. So naturally I set up my tripod and made Ryan and Baby boy take a million pictures. While at the container we did a lot of normal day to day things, made food, (pancakes for breakfast & heart shaped pizzas for dinner) watched TV and SLEPT, slept IN might I add. To top off all the ways to relax and unplug, there is one king size bed, hot tub, and huge soaking tub.
